2026 Race Season Rules and Classes

OVAL RACE

General Rules:

  • 5 or more cars to make a class (Novice excluded).

  • No AVC or Driving Aid devices on any car.

  • 1/10th scale vehicles only.

  • Electric powered vehicles only.

  • Our reads all 2 wire including MRT.

  • This is a club, rules can be changed or modified at any time by club vote by CORC Board Members, if a rule changes it will be posted as soon as possible.

  • Racers are subject to tech at any time during the race night at the discretion of the CORC Board Members.

Classes

  • 17.5 SPORT MOD/B-mod:

  • Stock buggies only with shock spring, oil and piston changes.

  • Factory upgrades allowed.

  • No adjustable rear arms but factory arm mounts that have the pills for rear toe and antisquat can be utilized.

  • Any “spec” 17.5 motor. No Outlaw motors.

  • Bodies must meet DODC Midwest Modified rules with the following exception, rear spoiler can only be 1” tall.

  • Blinky mode/no timing in speed controls.

NOVICE

  • 1/10 Scale Buggy or SC Truck (Oval or Offroad)

  • Body: Open

  • Tires: Open

  • ESC: Open

  • Motor: Open

  • This is a Beginner Class; the goal of this class is to improve on overall skill level if you are new to racing.

Street Stock Rules:

  • Chassis: Any production 1/10th scale buggy, no oval chassis cars, Team Associated SR10 and SR10m are legal. No adjustable arms, only aftermarket buggy parts allowed.

  • Tires: Open

  • ESC: Blinky Mode

  • Motor: Any ROAR Approved 13.5T Motor

  • Body: NO decked bodies, 1-piece bodies only. Bodies shall be trimmed to factory cut lines; maximum 1" spoiler from deck lid. (Shark RC Ricochet & Bull Shark are not allowed, MRKustoms Klassh Camaro & Mustang are not allowed).

  • Battery: Any 2s Lipo (Hard Case only).

TRAXXAS Modified Rules:

  • Chassis: LCG or HCG Traxxas chassis only, no modified mounts to adjust toe in any way are allowed.

  • Motor/Gearing: Stock BL-2S 3300 or 12T 550 brushed motors only. Gearing will be 24-26/86 only.

  • ESC: Stock BL-2S Speed Control or XL5 brushed ESC only.

  • Battery: 5200/50C battery only.

  • Misc.: Shock oil and diff oil are allowed to be changed, and Traxxas 2wd tuning springs ONLY.

  • Stock Traxxas Modified bodies only, any painting or graphics to clear bodies is allowed.

  • No adjustable rear arms, hexes can be adjusted.

Latemodel Rules:

  • Motor: Open

  • ESC: Open

  • Tires: Open

  • Battery: Any 2s Lipo

Dirt Midget Rules:

All height measurements are from bottom of chassis unless otherwise noted.

  • General: Maximum Overall Length: 16.750".

  • Maximum Chassis Width: 4.2" Solid axles are allowed. If solid axles are used the rear axle must be square with centerline of the chassis and parallel to the front axle.

  • Wheelbase: Min 9.5” Max 10.0”

  • Width: Minimum = 8.5”; Maximum = 10.0”

  • Rear Toe: Only non-adjustable rear arms can be used. Trackside toe adjustable rear hubs and or arms are not allowed. Trackside adjustable wheelbase is not allowed (Cannot have toe blocks or anything else attached to an easily adjustable mechanism to allow for wheelbase change trackside).

  • Offset: Right side of the cage can be no further offset from the outside of the RR tire than 3.625”.

  • Ballast Weight: Brass, tungsten or steel hubs, arms, arm inserts, caster blocks, steering arms are not allowed. (Ballast weight that can be attached to the main chassis area is allowed as long as it’s secured properly.)

  • Transmission/Drivetrain: 3 gear transmissions only (No DD, 2, 4 or 5 gear transmissions will be allowed). All gears must be full gears. No narrowed or lightened gears allowed. Plastic, Aluminum and Steel gears are permitted. Steel outdrives only. Blades are permitted. No gear diffs allowed. No rear motor cars allowed unless you can do it in a manner that the tail tank is appropriately sized and located.

  • Solid Axle Option: If a solid rear axle design is used, the motor must be mounted to the chassis and CVA/CVD must be used to drive the rear axle. No belts or chains will be allowed. A spur gear and pinion must be used in conjunction with the motor plate mounted to the chassis.

  • CVA/CVD: Dog bones must be equal length. Axles and bones must be made from steel. No aluminum, titanium or magnesium axles or bones allowed.

  • No aluminum diffs or gear diffs.

  • Electronics ESC: Hobbywing Justock Speed Controller #30112003

  • Motor: Hobbywing 13.5T Justock #30408010

  • Battery: Any 2s Lipo

  • Tires: JConcepts Sprinters (any compound) or Quasispeed on 2.2 buggy wheels (no mixing of brands).

13.5 Sprint Rules:

  • Motor: Any ROAR Approved 13.5T Motor

  • ESC: Blinky Mode

  • Tires: Open

  • Battery: Any 2s Lipo
